We do Backpacking, Bicycle Riding,Cross-Country Skiing, Hiking,and Kayaking. The Erie Outing Club is a group for adults 18 years old and above with the average age between 50-80. We enjoy social non-competive outdoor activities of all kinds. We enjoy Cross-Country skiing, Snow Shoeing, and Hiking in the winter Months. We do day hikes and overnight Backpacking. Day hike are a great way to get to know other members. We kayak the local streams and rivers in the area.
Outdoor news about Erie Outing Club events, and outdoors event in the local area. Snow Shoeing at Chautauqua Gorge State Forest. Ray,Paul and I went up to Sherman to do some Snow Shoeing near the Overland Trail. We stopped in Sherman at one of the local restaurants, but they seem to be close. The cook was standing outside told us to come in and they would serve us Breakfast. We snowshoed down the Gorge and viewed the creek. It was flowing pretty good with ice all around it.
